Small Business Regulatory Review BoardRe: Proposed Amendments to Coffee StandardsDear Ms. Palcovich:On behalf of the Kona Coffee Farmers Association (KCFA) and it’s more than 300 members and for the reasons set forth in the attached “Coffee Standards Analysis”, I am writing to request the Small Business Regulatory Review Board (SBRRB):

1—To re-open its March 19, 2014 consideration of the Hawaii Department of Agriculture’s proposed amendments to the Coffee Standards Regulations; and

2—To request that the HDOA respond in writing to the points raised in the attached “Coffee Standards Analysis” and previously raised in my September 27, 2013 email to then HDOA Chair Russell Kokubun, a copy of which is referenced in the Analysis and is also attached; and

3—To invite the KCFA and others from the small-scale coffee farm community to participate in the reconsideration.

I very much appreciate your attention to this request.

With Aloha,
